Downloading & installing programs from .MSI archives:Starting October 11, 2001, UDFCD software developed using Microsoft Visual Basic will be saved in .MSI format. This format is an installer package that requires the Microsoft Installer to execute. Microsoft Installer is included with Windows 2000/ME/XP and Office 2000 or higher. If you are using an earlier version of the Windows operating system (i.e. 95, 98, NT 3.51 or NT 4.0) you must first download and install Microsoft Installer from Microsoft's web site. Select the appropriate link below to obtain Microsoft Installer: Once you have downloaded Microsoft Installer, follow the installation directions provided by Microsoft. Then return to the District's web site, download the desired .MSI file, and open it by double-clicking. The installation process should begin automatically. Browser issues:Certain browsers may experience problems with downloading files and installing District programs. File corruption can occur during the download process that causes the program installation to fail. If this happens, try using Microsoft's Internet Explorer Version 5.0 or later. You may also download files from our public FTP site: ftp.udfcd.org If you are still having trouble, please send a detailed description of your problem to: students@udfcd.org
